IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING UPCOMING RATE CHANGE

The Natural Gas Charge component of your bill is decreasing effective August 8, 2013. The Daily Access and Distribution Charges are not changing.

The net effect of this change is an average overall decrease of 1.3%.  The average residential customer will see a decrease of about $1.30 per month.

Vermont Gas adjusts the Natural Gas Charge portion of your bill quarterly, up or down, in response to changes in the cost of gas.  The wholesale natural gas prices remain low and, while they have increased slightly in recent months, the effect of low wholesale prices is still reflected in Natural Gas Charge.  The decrease to Natural Gas Charge reflects these continuing low wholesale prices.

Following a regulatory review, the residential rate components will be adjusted as follows:

Rate Components

Before

August 8, 2013
