IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING UPCOMING RATE CHANGE

The Natural Gas Charge component of your bill is increasing effective February
6, 2013. The Daily Access and
Distribution Charges are not changing.
The net effect of this change is an average overall increase of 1.8%.
The average residential customer will see an increase of about $1.73
per month.
Vermont Gas adjusts the Natural Gas Charge portion of your bill quarterly, up
or down, in response to changes in the cost of gas.
While wholesale natural gas prices are
still quite low, they have risen in the past few months.
The adjustment to Natural Gas Charge reflects this change in the
wholesale prices. Following
a regulatory review, the residential rate components will be adjusted as
follows:
As shown in the chart below, even with this increase,natural gas remains very competitive with other forms of
heating fuels, including propane, oil and electricity.
